This term we learnt about poetry and wrote our own poems.I wrote a simile poem and a metaphor poem. My simile poem is about a Great Dane. I wrote it about a dog because a dog has many unique things about it. My metaphor poem is about a soccer ball because it can be explained as many things.

A day in a informal settlement I’m Adam and I live in a informal settlement and I wish that I didn’t. There are leaks everywhere in my shack.Me and my family sleep in one room in 2 beds. When I wake up in the morning I’m wet and cold and I Feel really sad . I usually don’t even have breakfast and then I’m feel so hungry. I don’t have electricity or bathrooms. Sometimes I don’t even go to school.There is 60 people in a class. I would really like to have a better school with a smaller class. I love soccer but if I don’t go to school I can’t play. It’s really hard to get to school and you have to walk about 20 minutes. Today when I was trying to get to school I nearly drowned by trying to get across the river. When I get back from school I take a taxi. You all have to use the same toilets. When we want to wash ourselves we need to walk really far away and fill up a bucket with water. Sometimes little kids fall in the . toilet pit and they drown. I would really like to have our ...

I’m Charles the kid that sang pretty Polly really well. I thought I sang it well but Mr.R didn’t think so. He screamed at me so much that I couldn’t believe it. He even called me a voiceless idiot which he probably will soon get fired for.I felt scared and sad and a bit angry. I wish we had a nice Inspector. Everyone did. Usually everyone called him a bully. I would love to be one of those boys that do exams and skip singing. Kids should get a weekend from him. I wish he went on a bad holiday for ever.

Hello Bloggers today i'm  going to tell you about our camp. Our camp was really fun especially the leap of faith and climbing wall. The leap of faith is when you jump and reach for a bar.  We also cooked potjie and I was the head chef. We also did this obstacle course which was fun and our cabins were fun and had lots of my friends. The best part is when I saw a snake blocking my cabin and I only saw it. No one got hurt this camp and everything went fine but i did trip and cut my leg and ankle and also my friend in my cabin Daniel was very sick one night at like 12pm.

To all Bloggers (yes you) Grade 5 is really fun and the work is a lot but that's a good thing because I haven't even noticed that the term is nearly over. Mr Raven is very fun and loves the outdoors so camp is going to be great. The work is much more fun and more of a challenge for me and that's what I like. You just mustn't talk while Mr Raven is teaching. I learnt that the hard way but if you don't talk hes really nice. The outings are also much more fun and interesting. Mr Raven is also good at hockey.

I went on camp in February to Simonsberg. Grade 4 camp was the best!The Quail class went with the Guinea Fowl class.We first went to Giraffe House and saw a super cool reptile show! Then after that we fed the llamas. When we got there we put our backs inside and went to play in the forest and built dens! After that we went to the pool and swam. The pool was cold but it was fun anyway!  The next day we started with our activities and my favorite 3 activities were, the mud pit that one we had to use our shoes to make a long shoe rope to get another rope and swing over mud.  The second thing was the really fun obstacle course we worked as a team and helped one and another. The last one is the awesome magic carpet we had white board and we had to step on them with out touching the ground and if one stepped off with out someones foot on your board the board disappears. Grade 4 camp was the best and really fun.
